Анотація
Теорія і практика перекладу – одна з основних нормативних лінгвістичних
дисциплін в системі професійного навчання майбутніх фахівців з прикладної лінгвістики.
Вона вивчає основні поняття теорії перекладу, теоретичні підходи до теорії перекладу
вітчизняних та зарубіжних науковців, процес перекладу як вид людської діяльності та
його етапи. Зміст дисципліни охоплює основні етапи формування, напрямки та
перспективи розвитку теорії перекладу; типи перекладу, мовні рівні, принципи їх
взаємодії, типи контексту та контекстуальні взаємозв’язки; психічні процеси, які
впливають на процес перекладу; механізми перекладу, принципи забезпечення
адекватності перекладу. Предметом вивчення є засоби та способи досягнення
еквівалентності у процесі перекладу. Курс «Теорія і практика перекладу» покликаний
забезпечити глибоке засвоєння студентами історичних процесів у галузі перекладу та
використання історичного досвіду для вірного відтворення значень комунікативних
одиниць мовою перекладу; формування базових, спеціальних і специфічних складових
професійної компетентності, яка є сукупністю знань, умінь і навичок, які дозволяють
майбутньому фахівцю з прикладної лінгвістики успішно розв’язувати професійні
завдання.

Abstract
Theory and Practice of Translation is one of the main normative linguistic disciplines in the
system of professional training of future applied linguists. It studies the basic concepts of
translation theory, theoretical approaches to translation theory of Ukrainian and foreign scholars,
the translation process as a type of human activity and its stages. The content of the discipline
covers the main stages of formation, directions and prospects for the development of translation
theory; types of translation, language levels, principles of their interaction, types of context and
contextual relationships; mental processes that affect the translation activity; translation
mechanisms, principles of ensuring the adequacy of translation. The subject of study is the
means and methods of achieving equivalence in the translation process. The course Theory and
Practice of Translation is designed to ensure deep learning by students of historical processes in
the field of translation and the use of historical experience to correctly reproduce the values of
communicative units in the language of translation; formation of basic, special and specific
components of professional competence, which is a set of knowledge, skills and abilities that
allow future applied linguists to solve professional tasks successfully.
